DEVELOPMENT OF LEBANESE ALGERIAN ECONOMIC COOPERATION.

The "Forum" organized three missions to Algeria
The first visit took place between the main objective of the mission was to study the potentiality of developing business relations between Lebanese Businessmen and their Algerian counterparts especially in joint ventures. The visit was coordinated with the Algerian Investment Development and Maintenance Authority (APS). Meetings were held with several leading government officials and members of the business community. These meetings included specially the following diagnatories:

2- A second mission visited Algeria in January 2000 after the to pinpoint some projects whichi could be of interest for Forum members.
A concise report was prepared and circulated to all members. Interested members were invited to join in a business mission to Algeria. Where they would be put in contact with their Algerian counterparts whether in the public or private sectors.


3- The third visit took place between 30 Lebanese Businessmen . Initial contacts for joint ventures were concluded.
